BEAMA ASBL is the voice of the asset management sector in Belgium. Its mission is to represent the profession and to promote and develop asset management activities in Belgium, as well as to enhance its image and that of its members. Asset management covers, among other things, the promotion, portfolio management, distribution and administration of investment funds. In addition to collective products, the term also refers to mandates for institutional and private clients, as well as investment advice. BEAMA is part of the umbrella organisations Febelfin (Belgian financial sector federation) and EFAMA (European Fund and Asset Management Association).
“The asset management sector is facing challenging times. On the one hand, the need to channel investments towards financing the European economy has never been greater. On the other hand, our sector is confronted with a range of significant challenges, including constantly evolving regulatory and tax frameworks, cost pressures, and the rise of new products such as ETFs and private asset funds. It is therefore a great honour, as Chair of BEAMA, to support the sector and help guide it in this complex and fast-changing environment, together with the other members of the Board of Directors.”
- Marnix Arickx, Chair of BEAMA
The new Chair will build on his predecessor’s policy direction with great enthusiasm, with the aim of strengthening the competitiveness of the fund and asset management sector.
The BEAMA website (only in Dutch/French) provides a general overview of the asset management sector in Belgium. In addition to information for the general public on the market for collective investment schemes (CIS) in Belgium, it also publishes professional communications for its members.
