Want to visit the bank? Check first if you need an appointment

In the fight against the spread of the coronavirus, the Belgian banks decided in mid-March to only receive customers by appointment, for necessary transactions (e.g. a transfer that exceeds the limit of digital banking).

Some banks still work according to this principle, while others now allow you to do so without an appointment.

An advice for anyone who wants to visit his or her bank: first check with your bank (on the website or by telephone) how this can best be done.

What is certain is that digital banking remains possible at any time and banks are available by telephone and via chat for questions from customers.

Visiting the bank, with or without an appointment

Several banks still work by appointment today. If you want to visit his or her bank, it is best to check this with the bank, by telephone or the website. The opening hours – with or without an appointment – can also be obtained in this way.

Banks remain digitally available at any time of the day

Digital banking (mobile banking and internet banking) and digital payments are always possible, at all times of the day. You can also withdraw money at any time. The ATMs will remain operational.

Customers who need help can also reach their bank by phone or chat. Often this can be done during the week as well as during the weekend.
