Michael Anseeuw appointed chairman of Febelfin

The Board of Directors of Febelfin has appointed Michael Anseeuw, CEO of BNP Paribas Fortis, as chairman of Febelfin.

 

Michael Anseeuw will succeed the current chairman of Febelfin and CEO of KBC Group, Johan Thijs as from 1 january 2024 onwards. The mandate of Dirk Wouters, CEO of Bank van Breda and current vice-chairman of Febelfin, also comes to an end. Both have served two terms as chairman and vice-chairman respectively.

The new chairman of Febelfin, supported by the CEO, will be given the opportunity to review Febelfin's governance in order to nominate a new vice-chairman.

Febelfin would like to expressly thank Johan Thijs and Dirk Wouters for their continued commitment in recent years. Michael Anseeuw's mandate has a term of 3 years and will therefore run until the end of 2026.
