PSD2 (Payment Services Directive II) has been regulating the payment traffic of consumers and companies in the EU since 2019. This directive ensured better protection of payment transactions.
PSD2 gave consumers the right to share their payment data with third parties and thus increased the development of new payment services. In recent years in particular, this development and electronic payment transactions in general have increased sharply. Therefore, a revision of PSD2 is on the table today.
