Bart Vervenne will be the new chairman of BVK/UPC

On 3 February 2021, the Professional Association of Credit (BVK), sub-association of Febelfin, elected Mr Bart Vervenne (Alpha Credit, group BNP Paribas) as the new chairman of the Board of Directors. He succeeds Mr Guy Schellinck (Beobank) after a term of two mandates.
Bart Vervenne holds a degree in commercial engineering and a Master in Business Administration from KU Leuven University, as well as a General Management Program, INSEAD/CEDEP, Fontainebleau.
Bart Vervenne has held various positions within the commercial network of Generale Bank, as well as responsibilities at a central level within Fortis. In 2005 he became chairman and CEO of Alpha Crédit.
Since 2016, he has been a member of the executive committee of BNP Paribas Personal Finance, responsible for the Benelux region. He also holds directorships in several companies. Bart Vervenne has been a member of the Board of Directors of the BVK since 2013 and a member of the Bureau since 2019.
